The rules for buying from us, in plain English. Ticking the terms box at checkout and paying counts as agreeing to them.
When is my order confirmed?
Once your card payment succeeds. Before that, you'll have chosen your timber, given a delivery postcode, day, address and contact details, and ticked the terms box. A confirmation email follows the payment.
We make up your order from exactly what you enter, so do look over the quantities, address and day before paying. After payment, we hold your timber and your delivery day.
Is there a minimum spend?
Yes: £200.00 worth of timber and post mix, with delivery on top. Checkout stays locked until you reach it.
What will I pay?
The prices showing on the site when you check out. Timber is priced item by item and post mix bag by bag. Delivery is a single charge for the order, based on postcode. You'll see timber, delivery and the grand total before paying. Our payment provider takes the card payment; your card number never reaches us.
What should I expect from the timber?
Timber is grown, not made, so the sizes we quote are nominal and approximate. Expect some difference in grain, colour, knots and resin from piece to piece. Fine surface cracks, small splits and a little movement come with natural wood and aren't defects. Our photos and drawings are illustrations.
How does delivery work?
On the day you booked (a day, rather than a time), the driver unloads by the kerb at your property, or the nearest suitable and accessible point. We can't carry timber through homes, down passages or into gardens. Nobody has to be in. If access we didn't know about stops the drop, we'll be in touch to sort out a plan, and any extra cost is explained before you're charged.
The timber is your responsibility from the moment it's unloaded, and it belongs to you once it's both delivered and paid for.
What if something's not right on the day?
Count everything against your confirmation as soon as it arrives. Anything short, damaged or wrong: email info@buyfencingnewcastle.co.uk that same day with photos and your order reference.
Can I cancel or send things back?
Consumers can change their mind. You can cancel at any point before delivery, or return stocked items within 14 days of the delivery day, with no reason needed. Just email info@buyfencingnewcastle.co.uk with your order reference.
Returns should reach us within 14 days of your email, in a state we can sell again: not used, cut, fixed or treated. The cost of sending them back is yours. Within 14 days of getting them back and checking them, your refund covers the items, plus the standard delivery fee if the entire order comes back. Items that come back used, cut, fixed, treated or damaged may get a smaller refund, down to nothing. Special orders and anything cut to your sizes only come back if faulty. Cancel before delivery and you'll get every penny back within 14 days.

I'm buying for my business
The consumer right to cancel and return doesn't cover business purchases. Let us know quickly if your order needs changing and we'll do what we reasonably can.
What if the goods are faulty?
If we supply something faulty, damaged or different from its description, we'll swap it or give you your money back. Your statutory rights still apply in full.
What are you responsible for?
Loss you could reasonably expect to follow from us breaching these terms or failing to take reasonable care. Not how the timber is used or put up after it's delivered. These terms don't limit anything the law says can't be limited. Business buyers: we don't cover lost profits, lost business or indirect losses.
