How many boards?
Butted together, 150mm boards need about seven per metre of fence. A 10m run takes 67 boards. The 125mm board is narrower, so allow eight per metre.
Before you fix them
- Fix boards to the rails with galvanised nails or screws.
- Leave boards clear of the soil, or fit a gravel board underneath.
- Check every few boards with a level to keep the line upright.
Questions
Can I mix board lengths?
Yes, you can use shorter boards on a stepped section where the ground drops, as long as the rails are set to suit.
